Cheeky’s first Detective leg!

This weekend we were only going to be able to enter Scent Work on Sunday because she was going to be coming back from working a conference in Salt Lake City on Friday evening and then heading up North to Fort Collins for the trial. But on Monday the conference went virtual. Luckily, there were still Detective runs available at the Front Range Scent Work Club’s trial in Longmont. So we quickly sent an entry and crossed our fingers.

We are still beaming 2 days later, as we got our first detective Q!! (For those not in the know, there were 5-10 hides in the search area and Cheeky had 10 minutes to find them. I have to say finish when I think we’ve found them all.) There were 6 hides total and Cheeky did it pretty quickly walking with 2nd place! What an absolute high!

The map, our bead counter, and our personalized rosette!!

Today, she finished her Master Buried title, just leaving one Master Exterior leg to finish her overall Master title. Couldn’t be more proud of our little Cheeky! She is such a hard worker and so good at this game!

Meanwhile across town, Maggie and Catherine had an amazing weekend too! Yesterday, she qualified in all 4 elements in the NACSW trial in Golden to earn her Nose Work 1 title. Then today, she took to USDAA agility and earned a Q and a Blue in Starter Jumpers! So very proud of our very versatile girls!

Maggie with her winning ribbons and sister Cotton won speedstakes!
