Well, Indy is the oldest dog in our house and with the commonality of splenic issues and hemangiosarcomas in our breed, we started ultrasounding Indy several years ago. We wanted one last reading before he turns 12 in June, so we scheduled an ultrasound of all his vital organs today.
There is nothing like the news of normal to set your mind at ease! In fact, Indy’s prostate has even shrunken a bit. The vets had a theory that it was enlarging because he was constantly around intact females (Karms & Halo.) We decided that if we were going to put him under anesthesia we would go ahead and neuter him. We did that back in July, so hearing that it not only helped the problem, but that it is REVERSING it is very welcome news!
Hopefully, our sweet boy still has several more years with us, getting news like today definitely puts our minds at ease 🙂
