First Premier Q for a Vizsla in AKC History!

Wow!  Super full week!  Friday Jenny had to work in Casper, and it just so happened that there was an agility trial there this weekend too!  Since Casper is a 5 hour drive, it seemed reasonable to stay the night up there Friday night and get some agility in on Saturday morning.  So we did!  In fact, we made it an extra long road trip by driving up to Cheyenne on Thursday night and tucking ourselves in to a very nice Marriott — thank you travel points!  And since we started the day in Cheyenne and work on Friday wrapped up early, we had time to swing by the trial site and try our hand at the the new AKC game, Premier.  Premier became a titling class on Thursday, so this trial was one of the first to offer it.  Not only did Karma compete, she took first place in both Premier Standard and Premier Jumpers — the first Vizsla in AKC history to pick up a Premier Qualification and she does it in style — Double Q and Double Blue (ribbons that is!)

Jenny and Karma all jammied up and tucked in!

Saturday Karma had another fantastic day…made even better by the fact that our agility besties, Emily and Layla the Golden came up too!  Let’s just say these girls ROCKED Saturday!  They each turned in QQ performances, AND they placed back to back!  So Karmie Tarm picked up 1st in Standard, with Layla picking up 2nd place right behind her.  Then in Jumpers, Karma nabbed a 2nd place and Layla took 3rd!  So fun!!  After snapping the photo above, we made the drive back to Denver wishing Emily lots of luck for Sunday.

Today, we wanted to be able to watch our football games (even though we are long-time Denverites — Jenny still cheers for the Redskins & Marc for the Chiefs) so we decided to take the dogs on a bit of hike to wear them out so we could watch in peace.  And a very happy surprise, we ran into our friend Alyssa and her V Wylie, but also a bonus — Tanner!  Tanner is Indy’s age and belongs to a Denver photographer who has done some photo shoots for us in the past.  Before Jenny was in the picture Indy & Tanner would hang out once a year at fun bird days — so fun to see these old dogs together again 🙂  And even better — everyone sacked out for our football games 🙂

Indy and Tanner, two handsome old men, and Halo and Wylie!
