Karma is an Excellent girlie!

What a wonderful weekend!  First, it is Memorial Day, so we are thinking of our family members who have served and thank them for their service!  We spent the holiday weekend doing our new favorite thing — Agility!

The trial started with set-up on Friday night.  After setting up the rings, awards, and hospitality suite, it was off to bed for a good night’s sleep.

Saturday was day one of the trial and a big one for Karma!  She didn’t just finish one title, but TWO!  Karma’s new name is — Diamond Cruiser 5280’s Reap What You Sow RN JH OA OAJ CA CGC.  Wow, right?!  So, so, so proud of our little girl!  And we would be remiss not to thank our trainers Alan Tay and Sarah Stremming for all the help  improving our handling skills and making us fierce!  🙂

Sunday Karmie moved up to Excellent A — very exciting as our new goal is to be in the Excellent B Class by the end of the year.  Would this be a good time to explain how the titles work?  If you are interested, click here for an explanation (in our words) on agility.

At the Excellent level you have to be PERFECT.  Jenny was a little nervous on Sunday making the big debut and made some novice handler/baby dog mistakes.  But, the good news is that Heather and Gunner got their second Novice Standard leg!  Then it was over to the Jackson RV to celebrate with a bunch of good friends.

Today was icing on the cake!  We were thrilled with Karma’s new titles this weekend, but the weekend got even better — Karma passed in jumpers to get her first AXJ leg!  No way did we think that we would be this far so quickly!  It’s actually good that we had conflicts with all the agility trials in June, it will give us time to sharpen our skills for the excellent level.  Super exciting, and really cool that we already have one leg in the bag 🙂

It was a good day for Heather too — she and Gunny finished their Novice Standard title!  So proud of Heather and GG, we love having such great friends to take this journey with us!
