Our All-Star

Well, this day started out a little rough, but finished off nicely.  We totally missed Indy’s ring time this morning 🙁  such a bummer!  This week was a little crazy, so it was bound to happen, but it still sucked.

Luckily, Indy would show again tonight in the All-Star Review.  But before the review, which showcases dual specimens of our breed, we headed over to have dinner with our Cruiser family.  Teresa, Frank, Jill, Wes, and Jone had quite the spread for us!  Awesome burgers, a chicken curry salad, a little BBQ, potato salad, cheese and pepperoni slices — delish!

After dinner we headed over a little bit early to make sure we didn’t miss Indy’s All Star showcase.  Brooke was there to take our sweet boy around the ring.  We just love her!  Brooke said the judges couldn’t stop commenting about how handsome Indy is — they absolutely loved his head!  So nice to hear that strangers think he is as handsome as we do 🙂

The ASR is for Vizslas who are Champions and then either Master Hunters/Field Champions/Amateur Field Champions/NAVDHA Prize I titled.  Indy was part of an elite group for sure!  Below is a copy of Indy’s write-up for the ASR catalog.  Instead of doing a few paragraphs on his accomplishments, we wrote a little poem about our sweet boy.

Boulder’s Indy-Go
A more perfect dog we’ll never know.
He hunts with intensity and passion,
And retrieves that bird in a gentle fashion.
Rally, Master Hunt, and Conformation,
Our Veteran boy is quite a sensation!
From Classic lines and Boulder ranks,
To these careful breeders we give our thanks.
Indy, boy, you are perfection,
We just can’t give you too much affection!
Our once in a lifetime Vizsla pup,
Have fun out there and hunt ‘em up!

Tomorrow is the awards banquet, but we are finished with the showing part of Nationals.  What a fun week — and ending it with the All-Star Review is definitely the icing on the cake!

This is Indy with his half-sister (also a Barry kid) who is 17 years old!  It’s so fun meeting these family members at Nationals!
