Big milestone today! Yesterday, Renata went in to be spayed, and since she was under, the doctors also x-rayed her leg to see if the rod was ready to come out—and it was!! They were able to take it out and she recovered nicely after the surgery and anesthesia — whew! They kept her overnight for observation and we were able to pick her up today. Today is also our 4 year anniversary, and we think getting Renny Roo back is the best gift of the day!
Now we will focus on building some muscle mass in that leg and that should be the last step before she finds her forever home. For now, she is happy to be fully healed and is wrestling around with Karma 🙂
