Road to Reno

Jenny with Karma & Halo on the Salt Flats!

We made it!!  We are all checked in for an amazing few days at the American Kennel Club National Agility Championship!  Getting checked in tonight was SUPER exciting.  We got all this swag and more importantly got to see a bunch of our Vizsla and Colorado friends!  We are also super lucky that the NAC is in Reno this year, so we get to stay with Marc’s parents!

Our trip out here was pretty great.  Marc worked a half day yesterday and then we headed out via I-25 to I-80.  We were debating on trudging all the way to Salt Lake City, but decided to call it a night in Evanston, WY.  This gave us time to hunt down a place to get the dogs some exercise and get checked in before dinnertime.  We checked into the Best Western Dunmar Inn which was clean and dog friendly.  We also found a school down the street with a HUGE soccer field, so everyone got to run out their zoomies for a good hour.  Just as we were wrapping up the run, the sun started to set, so we grabbed some dinner and then tucked in for the night.

Today we finished up the drive, rolling into Reno about 45 minutes before check in closed!  Perfect timing.  After setting up our crate (we were lucky enough to be pulled in the lottery for premium crating) we headed back to Marc’s Mom’s house for dinner with the family.  Now we just need to find a way to fall asleep, so we can be on our A game tomorrow!
