That’s a wrap!

Karma and Gunner after the Therapy Dog Parade and Parade of Titleholders

Well, what a week!  We were pretty much wrapped after Tuesday, Karma did a stint in Hunting Bitch and Gunner took a spin in Best of Breed.  But no big love for either of them.  We had the membership meeting, All-Star review, Annual Banquet, auction, and many, MANY late nights of cocktails and conversations.

Great times with good friends!  This scene was pretty common after every night’s activities 🙂

The All-Star review was pretty fun, since Indy wasn’t in Ohio, we didn’t have a dog entered this year and were able to just sit back and enjoy the show!  Jamie was selected as one of the secret judges and it was pretty funny trying to figure out her poker face as she judged.  Our friend Ashley and her girl File ended up winning the whole shebang!  That was pretty exciting to witness and the win couldn’t have gone to a nicer dog or person! 🙂

The banquet was an absolute blast.  We had been busy all day doing Iron Dog calculations as the placements came down to the final cut!  At the banquet, two of our good friends were in the medals and Jenny was honored to do the presentations.  Carol and Fargo took Silver and Jamie and Chancey Pants went home with the Bronze!  Heather was emcee for the banquet and did a fabulous job, Jenny spent too much money at the auction, and we all celebrated the great week and year.  Nights like that always seem too short.

With the Blondes — some of the best friends a girl can have!

It was a great National, so many people stepped forward and made it an amazing event.  It was fun to come for the week, pitch in and partake.  Hopefully, we can do it again next year!

A true living legacy — Lynn Worth Smith, the Vizsla Club of America’s delegate to the AKC, and an incredible steward of our breed.

For now, it is two days of road tripping back to Colorado.  Joining us on the return trip is Carol who drove out with her and Jamie’s pups, so we will have a 4 person rotation between the two cars — should be a fun trip!  Until next year!
