Holy moly…we are beat. We landed back in town tonight after spending a fabulous four days with Marc’s family. Part of being able to leave town is relying on friends to take our four pups — and we are pretty darn picky about who we leave our babies with. One of the people we entrusted this weekend was Sarah Wintrone and since there was a show this weekend, Sarah asked if she could have Karma and show her. Karma is the only one who isn’t a Grand Champion, so we figured we could enter her and see what happened. And it turned out to be a good gamble. Karma and Sarah took Select Bitch honors for a total of 4 points this weekend! It’s kinda funny, we’ve only entered Karma when we are out of town (November a couple years ago) or when we were building points for Halo. But after her wins this weekend, Karma is over half-way to her GCH with 16 points and 2 majors! Go Karm!
Gunner also had a super exciting weekend and finished his RAE title with Heather! RAE is crazy — you need 10 QQs in Rally Excellent & Advanced on the same day. Considering their crazy busy schedule, it is so cool that they got this knocked out in such short order. That also means we have almost achieved all of our obedience/rally goals for the year! Super cool 🙂
And our trip to Northern Nevada and California was awesome. We attended Marc’s step-brother’s wedding and reception in Graeagle and also spent a morning at Lake Tahoe. Tons of time with his family and a really relaxing weekend! Next time we have to take Halo — she would have LOVED to go for a dip in all those lakes! 🙂
