Cheeky quite proud of herself after the match.

Colorado’s first dog show of the year is over Presidents’ Weekend in February. Right at the first of the year, a bunch of the local clubs start hosting fun matches so people can dust off their show leads and hit the ring. Since Cheeky is now over 3 months (4.5 months) she was eligible to enter and take a stab at being a show dog.

Getting ready for her exam from Judge Bruce McLean

It was a great day of socialization. She got to meet SO many other dogs (both puppies and adults) and bunches of dog savvy people. She was a bit of a bucking bronco on the lead, but every now and then would get it together and we were told she really has a lovely gait. She was GREAT at free stacking — our independent miss showing us that she can do it all by herself, thankyouverymuch! And, with no competition, Cheeky took Best Vizsla Puppy. She earned herself a milk bone and fell asleep before we even got off the fairgrounds. All in all, a great day with our busy little bee.
