Junior Hunter titles, halfway there!

This was the weekend for vacations!  Marc and Jenny packed up and headed down to sunny Cozumel, Mexico for a week, while the rest of the gang went on the ideal Vizsla vacation–a hunt test!

Uncle Pat loaded up his plane with Karma, Zeke, and Tad and they headed down to Joplin, Missouri to run in the Ozark Brittany Hunt Test.  The weekend ended with both 8 month old puppies getting halfway to their JH title!  We also can’t say enough good things about the Ozark Brittany Club’s tests; great judges who walk with the dogs and get a great “dog’s eye view”, and excellent cover that forces the dogs to use their nose!  We should also mention that their prices seem to be some of the lowest around!

On Saturday, Karma was our little rock star!  Marc and Jenny got the text that she passed right as they were boarding their plane, and needless to say, it was a great way to kick off their vacation!  Making the wins even more exciting, was that this was Karm’s very first hunt test!  Karma ran hard on Saturday, even crashing into a fence at one point!  Our little Tomboy, true to form, dusted herself off and got back to hunting, finishing her run with THREE finds!  Thanks to judges Doug Beck and Stephen Buford for awarding Karma with her very first orange ribbon!

Sunday was a perfect day as both teams, Pat/Zeke and Tad/Karma, walked off the field with an orange ribbon!  Thank you to judges Mark Smith and Dale Daniels for making Sunday so perfect!  We couldn’t be more proud of Pat who is new to this whole “hunt test thing,” but has still managed to earn a leg in both tests he has entered.  Quite the accomplishment for the novice and an eight month old puppy!

Hunt test season is just starting, and we think it’s going to be an exciting Spring!
