Karma checks out Casper

From our Q rate this weekend, you’d never know Karma had such a good weekend.  We are coming home with her 4th MXJ leg and a lot of things to work on 🙂

The courses this weekend seemed to all require a rear cross into the weaves…which is something we learned we need to work on!  This was also our first trial with a non-rubberized table.  The table surface this weekend was sand and on the first day it was right after the tunnel.  The combo of Karma zooming out of the tunnel and the slick(er) surface was too much — Karma slid right off the backside, costing us a Q.  Today she was a little apprehensive and bounced off the table like it was a trampoline.  Boo.  She also blew some contacts.

BUT!  Other than a one or two things, Karma was fabulous!  She picked up 8 points in her MXJ Q.  We had a little slip-up with the jump setter who was walking around RIGHT when Karma came over the jump directly facing her.  Being Karma, she HAD to go say hi.  But Jenny got her back, right into the weaves to save our Q.  If we hadn’t had the detour, it looks like Karma might have been a contender for a placement — SUPER EXCITING 🙂
