In our quest to be ever improving our dog friendly yard, today we installed a new fence. Check out our previous dog yard improvements here for more ideas! The only thing that still needed to be fixed was the fence line. It was really weird — made of chicken wire and what looked like plumbing pipes. But it had this super full ivy that grew and covered the whole thing in green leaves in the summer.
The problem was come winter, the fullness was gone and you could see through to our neighbors yard. They also have a herding breed dog that loves to run the fence-line and stare at our gang. We decided it was time to finish the last part, so we finally pulled the trigger! We even had to do a custom cut-out for our large tree that is on the property line. It looks pretty darn cute AND we did a 6’ fence to keep Halo from trying to grab the squirrels off the top…we’ll see how that works.
