Operation Reno

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  We have spent every Thanksgiving for years with our buddy Tim and his Weims.  Usually we take go on a hunting trip, but this year, Tim needed to head back to Iowa to share some updates with his family.  Since we were going to be local, Jenny decided to enter a local agility trial…why not, right?

Thanksgiving was actually really nice…just the two of us with the puppies.   It’s funny cooking a Thanksgiving meal for just two!  Instead of a whole turkey, Jenny made a half a turkey breast — and we still had tons of leftovers!  These made for great jackpots after Karma’s agility runs too 🙂

Yesterday, Karma didn’t Q in her morning run and since Marc was out shooting with some buddies, we called it a day early and headed home to keep Indy, Halo, and Schmav company.  It was the last day of the 2013 qualifying period, so we didn’t need the extra points.

Today was a different story though — the first day of t the 2014 qualifying period for the AKC Agility Nationals.  And this next year, it’s in Reno — Marc’s hometown!!  We are so excited and REALLY want to qualify!  We had so much fun in Reno this past June, we’d love to make another roadtrip with all the pups! 🙂

To qualify for Nationals, the rules are staying the same — 500 points, 20 master legs, and 4 double Qs.  Karma kicked off the qualifying period well, earning a Standard Q and 16 MACH points!  Awesome way to kick off the year Karmie Karm!
