THE Denver Show

Wowza.  What a Cluster!  We just wrapped up the 5 day Rocky Mountain cluster show — the 5th day coming courtesy of our club, the Mile High Sporting Dog Fanciers, adding a group show to add an extra day of exhibiting for the sporting crew.  For the weekend we had both Indy and Karma entered in the MHSDF group show and the Vizsla specialty, Halo was entered all 5 days in conformation, and Karma was entered in 3 days of agility.

We had a REALLY good weekend.  Halo was beautifully handled by Sarah Wintrone to Best of Breed (35 Vizsla entry!) on Thursday and Select (for a 5 point major) today.  She also made the cut all but one day — our little Hay!  We have been trying to get her ready for Nationals as the ring times there are CRAZY long, and Halo gets bored.  We will cut her some slack since she’s still shy of 18 months.  We knew this weekend would pull large entries and long ring times…we were totally right and Halo got some great experience.  The huge wins were just icing on the cake!  She looked so great and we feel like she really came a long way this weekend.

Indy showed great in the Veteran class both days — no one can believe he is 9.5!  We hardly believe it ourselves 🙂  Since Indy finished his GCH, this was his last weekend showing and we couldn’t be happier with how he looked…sweetest expression and his cute little tail never quits!  And Karmie-Karm wiggled her way around the show ring too…she is so stinkin’ cute.

In agility, Karma pulled off an amazing (for us) feat — an Open FAST qualify!!  FAST is the hardest game for us, so it was super cool to earn that 2nd leg…just one more to go!  She also picked up two MXJ legs and 25 MACH points finishing in 5th and 6th place.  She smoked her courses; it was awesome.

Overall, it was a great week with so many friends!  Lots of new championships, qualifying runs, breed wins and group placements to celebrate!  Doesn’t get much better 🙂
