Karma is a new RE!

We have our first title of the year and our first goal off the list!  It was quite a weekend, so let’s recap…

This weekend, our performance club, Longs Peak Dog Training Club, held its annual Rally and Obedience trail.  Coinciding with the trial, Jenny’s little brother Chad and his fiancee, Autumn were coming out for a visit.  Originally, we planned to just enter Karma on Saturday since Chad’s flight arrived that evening.  When Heather heard this, she offered to keep Karma for the weekend and show her for us.  So we sent in our entry fees and kept our fingers crossed!

Saturday was a great day.  Jenny was able to handle Karma to her second Rally Excellent leg with a 2nd place finish.  Heather had a great day with Gunner too and picked up his first CD leg and qualified in both Rally Excellent and Advanced to pick up their 5th RAE leg.  Rounding out the Vizsla trifecta, our friend Ginger picked up Aja’s first RN leg with an impressive 97!

Sunday, while Jenny and Autumn were busy at the Bridal Expo in Denver, Heather sent a text saying that Karma was a new RE!  Heather handled her to leg number 3 with a 90 and 3rd place!  The good news kept rolling in as Gunner earned RAE #6 and CD #2, and Aja also picked up RN #2.

Today, Jenny worked up in Vail, so Heather was nice enough to keep Karma an extra day.  At the trial today, Gunner picked up RAE #7 and Aja finished her RN title!  A great start to the year for us and so many of our friends 🙂

So with Karma’s RE title off the list, here is our updated goal list!

Agility Goals:

-Gunner’s AX title
-Gunner’s MX & MXJ titles
-Gunner & Karma’s OF titles
-Gunner’s T2B title
-Karma’s MACH
-Get Karma qualified for AKC Agility Nationals
-Get Karma ranked in the Top 20 (agility)

Conformation Goals:

-Grand Championship on Indy
-Group Placement on Halo
-Specialty Award on Halo (BISS, BOSS, SBS, JAM)
-Get Halo ranked in the Top 20 (show)

Obedience/Rally Goals:

-Rally Excellent on Karma — DONE!
-Rally Advanced Excellent on Gunner
-Rally Novice on Halo
-Canine Good Citizens on Gunner & Halo
-Companion Dog on Gunner
-Companion Dog Excellent on Indy

Field Goals: (some may be 2 year goals)

-Junior Hunter on Halo
-Senior Hunter on Gunner & Karma
-Tracking Dog on Indy, Karma, and Halo
-Coursing Ability on Halo
