Most wonderful time of the year!

This weekend was the inaugural Palmer Divide Agility Club trial, and we were honored to be part of the history.  In fact, we were the second run in club history…first run honors went to our friends (and Indy’s obedience training buddy) Ricky Bobby and his handler/mom Lori 🙂  The club had one of our favorite judges, Tom Slattery, and a new favorite, Ann Rudd.  Their courses were awesome and the weekend was too much fun.  Jenny has been volunteering in the score room a bit for the past year, and when our friend Ginger couldn’t work this trial with our friend/trial secretary Deb, the club asked Jenny to serve in an official capacity.  It was fun!  In high school Jenny kept stats up in the score room for her high school football team, (yep, she’s THAT big of a geek!) so it has been a lifelong passion 😉

This weekend was also the weekend of the AKC invitational.  To go to the invitational, you have to be in the top 5 of your breed — definitely something to aspire to!  And this year, one of our favorite teams, Jamie and Karma’s Auntie Tokaji (although we’ve changed her name to ToQQaji since she is so consistent at getting Double Qs) were competing.  You better believe Jenny was keeping her phone super handy to hear about the latest and greatest down in Florida.  Sadly, they didn’t make it to the finals, but just getting to go is a huge accomplishment and we are really proud of them 🙂

Karma had an awesome weekend, qualifying in Standard on Saturday, earning 20 MACH points, and most exciting — a 4th place!  It was pretty exciting and the new PDAC group went all out with their ribbons…they are super beautiful!  Sunday Karma picked up a jumpers Q and 11 more MACH points.  At this rate, we might just get 100 MACH points out of the way before 2014 starts!

Karma’s runs — thank you Dale & Katherine!
