Rocky Mountain State Games

This summer is just FLYING by!  Last weekend Jenny was out in Las Vegas for the Vizsla Club of America’s annual board meeting.  Let’s just say a years worth of tension was released on Saturday night — it was so nice to go out and let loose with others — even though you don’t always see eye to eye in the board room.  Then it was back home to Denver on Sunday to prep for Karma’s 5th birthday!

Karma turned 5 on Wednesday and even got to attend agility class!  It was perfect day for Karmie 🙂  It’s just so hard to believe that this perfect girl has already been with us for half a decade.  All we can hope for is that she is with us for at least another 10 years, and happy and healthy in that time.

Karma’s birthday week got even better when she was able to compete in the Rocky Mountain State Games this weekend.  To be eligible for a medal, you needed a QQ — which we did not accomplish over the weekend.  We did, however, manage to pull off a Standard Q on Saturday which earned us a 3rd place finish and 23 MACH points!!  What a girl!

We also had a great time carpooling down to the Springs with Emily and her Golden, Layla.  We shared an easy up, shade, and an x-pen with Karma’s cousin Gunner, and even better — Gunner shared his kids with Karma!  She loves getting to visit with Hailey and Tanner, and Hailey LOVES getting to walk Karma.  They are pretty cute together.
