Serene weekend at 9,000 feet

We came up to Vail with every intention to ski this weekend, but as we were gearing up it started sprinkling rain. You know you are ski snobs when that makes you give up on the idea. We definitely take living here for granted sometimes!

After a couple hours, the rain turned to a really light, soft snow. Plus, we had two red heads that were looking out the window with much anticipation. So we threw their coats on and headed out on a hike. It was magical. Perfectly quiet, perfectly beautiful. It’s been so hard doing things without Karma, but quiet weekends like this have been helpful for healing. Halo and Cheeky have such a love for hiking and snow romps it’s hard to hike alongside them without a huge smile.
