Oof, this quarantine isn’t for the faint of heart. But the dogs are totally digging it. They get tons of attention, have Jenny at their beck-and-call all day, and the treats have not been lagging. A couple days ago, the AKC put out an announcement that you could now submit trick dog titles over video, so today, since Marc was off work, we thought we’d try for Halo’s Trick Dog Novice.
It was pretty easy! Marc filmed while Jenny & Halo did tricks. For Novice, you have to do 10 tricks two times. These were Halo’s 10:
- Push ups (sit, down, sit)
- Kiss
- Boing
- Get on
- Balance beam
- Get in
- Sit pretty
- Fetch
- Touch
- Hand Signal (down)
If you are interested in getting any trick dog titles, Jen with Matrix Dog, made it super easy. We just sent over the videos on Facebook messenger, she evaluated and sent a photo of her ribbon! She also sent all the paperwork combined into one file, so we just had to print, sign, and mail it off to the AKC. Super easy.
